Successful Scouting missions allow you to detect all Units defending a Target - including its owner's Units and other players' Reinforcements.
and the Dutchman's Hangar, select the number of Flying Dutchmen you want to send for the mission and click "Send". You will be able to view the amount of Resources remaining at a Target, its status (whether the Target is vacant or captured), and choose from a set of possible actions. Place your cursor over a Target on the Map to view its info. Every new Target starts off vacant and unguarded, so be the first to find the new ones! Any player can view the amount of Resources stored in the Target by placing their magic compass over it. The remaining time till a Target sinks is displayed on the pop-up Map menu and at your Command buildings (Pirate Stronghold and Lighthouse). When all the booty at a Target has been collected (or its time limit expires) it will sink below the waves, never to be seen again. The larger the Target, the more Resources it can collect per hour, and the greater its total worth. The amount of Resources recovered from the Target per hour and the total amount of the haul depends on its size. There are three types of Targets: large, medium and small.
Each Target is loaded with one of the three main types of Resources (Gold, Lumber, and Rum), Rubies, or Gears.
